Camp
on the Catawba River at Catawba Falls Campground, we
offer RV Camping, Cabin Rental and Tent Camping. Our
tents are on the river or at the base of the
mountain. We offer a store with ice, goods and
ice-cream, we are the closest campground to the Catawba
Falls with plenty of hiking and we are open ALL
YEAR.
We are located in the mountains of Western
North Carolina in the town of Old Fort. We
offer a clean bathhouse, playground, fishing pond,
river to lay down and cool off in, store and mountain
crafts.
RV Full Hookups, tent camping and rental
cabins with free Internet Access. Ricky Jr. is now
offering tattoos for the young and old, they last
for days and the kids love them.
We
have been serving the public since 1982 under the
same family. We are close to all major attractions
in Western North Carolina. Make us your home base
and tour the mountains. McDowell County offers a
host of attractions such as; Little Switzerland,
Linville Caverns, Lake James Park, Mountain Gateway
Museum, Davidson's Fort and Mountain Mitchell State
Park the highest peak east of the Mississippi. We
are only a short distance to Grandfather Mountain,
Biltmore House, Chimney Rock and Cherokee Indian
Reservations, white water rafting and local ski
resorts.
Stay a day; week or month, you will have a
peaceful and enjoyable stay with us. We
are not a resort, just a family style campground
that offers you a friendly and inexpensive place to
stay while you visit our lovely mountains. This
quiet and family oriented campground has been a
family run campground with the sole purpose of
providing you a safe and inexpensive vacation in a
quiet and relaxing mountain setting.
We are
centrally located to all the major attractions in
Western North Carolina. Our newest addition is a
small petting zoo containing two ponies and a large
bird atrium.
We may have some chickens in the future if the
economy continues on its current path.
